Camping at Black Brook Cove

Spectacular Views and Friendly Natives!

Nestled in a scenic cove at the south east end of the pristine Aziscohos Lake and in the western mountains of Maine, Black Brook Cove Campground offers the "Real Maine" camping experience.

We offer a wide variety of sites and leave the choice up to you! Before you choose a site, be sure to keep in mind these few things:

Inside the Main Campground

The main campground consists of 30 nicely situated RV and tent sites with electric and water hook-ups. Sites have been designed to meet the needs of all types of camping, from secluded tent sites to large RV sites. Also located inside the main campground, Clean and Modern Bathrooms, Showers, and a Laundry Room.

East Shores Sites - Remote Sites (no power, no running water)

This area offers 26 campsites for small, self contained units and tents. These wooded, waterfront sites are perfect for campers who enjoy a wilderness setting. A private, gated road offers easy access. These sites are 3 1/2 miles from the main campground and are 100' from the water. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. 
There is no electric/water hook-up at these sites.

Beaver Island - Boat Access Only (no power, no running water)

Nine sites are available on 20-acre Beaver Island and seven sites around the lake.  Enjoy your own private beach.  These sites are reached by boat, canoe or campground transport.

Other Useful information:

The General Store is well stocked with groceries, tackle, camping equipment, firewood, and ice.  We also have coffee, sandwiches, and home baked pastries.  The large, adjacent screened in area assures campers comfort and enjoyment. 

Clean, modern restrooms have metered hot showers and a Laundry Room attached. This Bath house is located in the Main Campground and is open for any campers use. Absolutely no parking of vehicles around the bathhouse. We ask you park in the parking area around the store.


Cabin on the East Shore of Aziscohos Lake in the Rangeley Lakes Region of Maine.  Cabin has one bedroom with loft that sleeps 6-8 people.  It is furnished with gas appliances (NO ELECTRIC HOOKUP), 3/4 bathroom and screened in porch.

What to do while camping?

The Sheltered Boat Harbor:
Launch area and docking facilities fill the needs of fishing and boating enthusiasts.
Boats, motors, canoes, kayaks, and docks are available to rent.

Fish for Native Landlocked Salmon and Brook Trout. Registered Maine Guides are available.

With easy boat access to 14-Mile Aziscohos, get out and enjoy the spectacular views all around the lake!

Hike the lakefront, wooded trails, Aziscohos Mountain (3,186 ft.). 
The Appalachian Trail, Bald Mountain, West Kennebago Mountain, and Spencer Pond are also nearby.
