Deer hunting in the North Country is very challenging. Thousands of acres of hardwood ridges, thick stands of softwood, and maturing clear cuts make this a demanding hunt.   For the sportsman seeking to hunt white tails in the wild country, western Maine is the place to be.  You can hunt the thick spruce forest or walk the hardwoods.  Tree stands and blinds are set up along trails and on the edges of maturing clear cuts.   Deer hunts include six nights stay and 5 days of hunting, home cooked meals, transportation and a guide.
